Panorama Homes begins construction in Moranbah
April 19, 2013Panorama Homes is excited to announce that we have commenced construction on the first of our new homes in Moranbah this month.
Moranbah is a town in the Isaac Region of Queensland – located in the Bowen Basin. The town was specifically created for miners and their families about 40 years ago, and at the 2011 Census had a population of 8,626. The 10 year average annual median capital growth from 2003-2012 for Moranbah is an amazing 28.12%.
There are 14 coal mines within 60kms of the township, and global mining giants such as BMA (BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance), Rio Tinto and Anglo American are active in the Moranbah region. The Bowen Basin contains virtually all of the state’s hard coking coal, and is the most important source of export coal in Queensland. Global demand for coal is driven by the urbanisation of China which is expected to continue to drive demand for coking coal (for steel production.)
